Justin Bieber Teases Next Believe Single

During 'MTV First: Justin Bieber,' pop star says 'As Long As You Love Me' could be the next track to hit radio.
By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Sway Calloway

<P><a href="http://www.mtv.com/music/artist/bieber_justin/artist.jhtml">Justin Bieber</a> is still riding high off the release of his new video for </a> <a href="/news/articles/1684446/justin-bieber-boyfriend-video.jhtml">"Boyfriend."</a> But with his next album, <a href="/news/articles/1684292/justin-bieber-boyfriend-mike-posner-sessions.jhtml"><I>Believe,</I></a> not too far off, Bieber told MTV News that fans might get the chance to hear more from the June 19 release sooner rather than later.</P><P>"Why did I choose 'Boyfriend' [for my first single]? I just thought it was ... a song that most represented me at the time and what I wanted to put out there, " he told Sway during "MTV First: Justin Bieber" on Thursday night (May 3). "It's crazy, because even my <i>next</i> single after that is going to be better."</P><P></p><div class="player-placeholder right" title="'Boyfriend' Shows Off Justin Bieber's 'New Fresh Sound'" id="vid:765693.id:1684329" width="415" height="255"></div><p></P><P>Bieber didn't want to give out too many details about this even better next track, but he did reveal that the title recalls a certain hit by '90s teen idols the Backstreet Boys. "My next single, I don't have it completely set. ... I think it's 'As Long As You Love Me.' It's midtempo," Bieber said. "I think it's edgy."</P><P>With no exact details on when fans might get to hear the next single, he dished that a song he wrote for his mother, Pattie Mallette, could drop on May 13, whether or not it makes the album. "I wrote a song for my mom. But I'm going to put it out on Mother's Day," he said, explaining why Mama Mallette was worthy of her own track, "[It's] about the struggles, I say in the song. She had me at like the age I am now. [It's about] just the struggles she went through and how brave she was, and I think the world needed to know that."</P><P><i>What did you think of the "Boyfriend" video? Samsung Galaxy S III to be sold in Mobile Pin pop-up stores (updated with video)

At the very tail end of its Galaxy S III event, Samsung promised one more surprise -- and what it gave us was a special retail strategy. The company will be opening Mobile Pin locations, or glass-housed pop-up stores, to help showcase its new flagship phone. We had a chance to look at examples of the stores first-hand. Those not at the launch event will get a look in the near future, with Mobile Pins appearing at several locations throughout London. The first Pins will open on May 29th, with the Pin 5 (a 5-by-5 meter indoor location) making temporary appearances at Spitalfields Market, Westfield and White City, while the 7-by-7 outdoor version (Pin 7) will pop up in the Olympic Park along with Hyde Park at a later date this year. Samsung is also planning to introduce the Pin concept abroad, with plans for two US cities currently in the works, along with a yet-unnamed country in Asia -- Korea would be our guess. We've got a gallery and video walkthrough below to explore the locations in more detail.

RunCore's Mini DOM packs single-chip, SATA-based SSD into tiny places

Image

Fitting a truly quick solid-state drive into a small space isn't easy, and for that reason RunCore's new Mini DOM (Disk On Module) stands out from the crowd. It's billed as the first single-chip SSD to use a SATA interface (SATA II, to be exact), giving it that much more bandwidth than the pokey IDE and PATA DOMs of old while remaining under half the size of a regular mSATA drive. RunCore's own tests show it hitting about 113MB/s sequential reads and 47MB/s writes. Neither figure will knock the socks off even a mainstream budget SSD like Intel's SSD 330, but they're more than brisk enough for embedded gear. The drives can survive brutal conditions, too: an Industrial Grade trim level can survive temperatures as chilly as -40F and as scorching as 185F. So, the next time you pry open some military equipment and see one of these sitting inside, in three different formats and capacities from 8GB to 64GB, you'll know exactly what you're looking at.

They're an excellent way to improve both personally and on a team level, yet it usually takes a dedicated staff to push out rich, thorough analysis. Luckily, a new startup called Krossover is ready to help solve that problem. They call themselves "business intelligence for sports," offering youth, amateur, highschool and college sports teams fully indexed game footage within 12-36 hours of uploading. This includes searchable film, box scores, shot charts and drive charts, and thorough analytical reports for every player on the team.
