WDW Radio Kids & Teens Day: When You Care Enough To Send ...

by Makena W.

When it?s somebody?s unbirthday, happily ever after, or you just wanna say Hakuna Matata, Hallmark is the place to go. Yes, I really did just say Hallmark! Hallmark features many things-from cards to fuzzy socks. Disney has a very up-to-date relationship with Hallmark, releasing new stuff continuously. Today I want to focus on Disney signs that are sold in most Hallmark stores.

So, you wander into the Hallmark store in the local mall and meander while your mom is shopping for cards.? Out of the side of your eye you notice a rather large display.? It?s not the color that grabs your attention.? In fact, there really isn?t much color at all ? mostly browns and tans.? For some unexplained reason, you head towards the display (must be the Disney radar).? My eyes widen as I read the first sign that I see.? ?It?s Kind of Fun to Do the Impossible.? ? Walt Disney. The signs are made out of what looks like wood, giving it an old feel. On each sign is a Disney quote, whether famous (?Reach For The Sky?) or not so famous (?Family can be friends, too.?). Under each quote is what movie it is from, or ?Walt Disney? if he said it. If signs aren?t your thing, no worries.? It doesn?t stop at signs. There are mugs, gift bags, snow globes, statues, a mouse pad, and more using the same format. They range in size from 4X4 inches to 2?6 inches or an even larger 8?8 inches and are a bargain costing between $10 and $20.? They are perfect for the little spot on your wall that is void of Disney or, because they are also able to stand up, the corner of your desk.? Let?s face it, we can all use a twinkling of Disney when we?re doing our homework! Your parents don?t have to worry about holes in the wall either because they are light enough to use 3M hooks instead of nails!! I simply adore these designs and own quite a few myself, including ?If you can dream it, you can do it!? and ?The most important thing is family.? ? both quotes from Walt himself.? Whenever I walk into my room and see those signs (they are on the outside of my door), I smile. They remind me of my favorite Disney moments. I recommend getting a few of these for yourself, giving them as gifts to those who can use a little Disney in their lives or even collecting them all (Shoutout to you, Jen Tremley). Unfortunately, these signs go very quickly so if you happen to see one that you want, I suggest you get it right away. Take it from me, it won?t be there when you come back for it and they?re not sold online!

***** Hey Lou, here?s an idea. How about we petition Hallmark to get some of the WDW iconic quotes made into signs? To see how it would look, check out the photo below.
